Because John has lurgy he has been sleeping in the spare room. I woke this morning conscious that I had been scratching during the night and when I woke I noticed I had several 'wheals' on my body - these were on my back. There were several more on more intimate areas of my personage - they may have been insect bites but I have never reacted quite this way in the past. They were raised and itchy and irritating. When I checked there were a lot more than I had realised and I wondered if there had been something in the bed. I was worried that it looked like ringworm and I know you can catch that from cats.
John suggested that I might benefit from a swim in the pool because the recent change in the weather at night means that the temperature has dipped. Well I can confirm it was very 'refreshing' and John was right it did stop the constant itching. I had put a picture of my 'rash' online and was thrilled when Jordan responded from his holiday in Dubrovnik to tell me that he thought it very unlikely it was (a) Lyme's disease or (b) ringworm.
When I got out of the pool my two wheals had merged into one and were still growing as were all the others located on my body. I decided that I would call into a chemist in Peyia when I went down with J&J to catch up with Mum at Peggies for a late lunch.Anyway we left Stan and John together to compare sore throat symptoms and we girlies went to Peyia to catch up with Mum who had had her first stint as Safe Pass checker in the charity shop where we got the wheelchair from and where Lilian works. It was very pleasant sat in the garden and we had a nice lunch. Towards the end of it though I started to feel pretty rough because along with my massive spots I had what I thought was heartburn which normally does quite quickly but today lasted until I went to bed.
I must have really sworn at a Gypsy.
