When I woke this morning I realised that my hands had swollen - so much so that my wedding ring finger was twice the size it is normally. I managed to get mum's wedding ring off of my right hand but no amount of encouragement would get my own wedding ring off and that bothered me. Actually later in the day when I went into the pool to cool my 'hives' down it was chilly enough for me to be able to persuade my wedding ring to budge and as it happens that was a good move. My hives are growing and my body is covered but I am hopeful that the tablets from the chemist will start doing their stuff soon otherwise I will have to go to the Doctor because I feel pretty rough and the hives are appearing all over the place. So far not on my face thank goodness.

Today John and Stan were going down to Paphos to play a round of golf at the pitch and putt and thankfully the antibiotics have done their magic and they felt well enough to go. I had organised to go on a craft workshop in Neo Chorio with Janet and Jackie and were were doing something with alcohol inks. We made our way to Anna's Studio which was a right little treasure trove of crafting supplies located in the centre of the village and there was a lovely shaded outdoor area where we could do our stuff distanced so that we would not need to use a mask.

What we actually created was a decorated plate using the inks that were available to us. You work on the back of the plate having tied out the inks and how they mix on a plastic lid first. Once you have completed you design you wait for it to dry and then you 'seal' it with a thick coat of acrylic paint over the alchol inks. Whilst waiting for the alcohol inks to dry we had a bit of go at 'dot painting' which is a lot easier than it looks. We were given a pebble on which to paint our design but we all felt our efforts looked like they had been created by children!
We had a very pleased couple of hours trying out something new before it was time to pack up and take our efforts with us. The recent changes to the road system in Neo Chorio mean that generally it is much quieter (save for the bloomin' quad bikes unfortunately). We made our way back to where we had parked the car and set off back down the hill.
I decided that we would stop off at the Souli for a spot of lunch which was a good call. We sat right by the sea and had a selection of starters for our lunch. For Janet some barbeque prawns and chip and for Jackie and I a lovely fresh salad and some calamari. Everyone enjoyed it and we had wanted to take them there previously so it was another tick in the box although sadly without Stan and John.
We are trying to make up for lost time this holiday as various health issues have meant we have had to cancel plans. We should have been out with Di and Rob this evening but just could not have done it. Once JJ&S returned to Polis I was wiped out and new hives had started to appear all I wanted to do was go to bed. I am so disappointed - looks like it is the Doctor for me because not only do I have these hives but I am struggling to breath.
