Santa claus is coming

We had a quiet start to the day today.  My readings have been a bit up and down so I decided I would sit down and make some Christmas cards which I hope I can get written and stamped so that I can ask Louise to take back and post for me.  She and Malcolm arrived last Thursday with a list of things they want to get sorted with regard to works on 11b.  We are conscious that their time is short and they are busy so we don't want to take up too much of it but they are taking us out for a meal tonight - in fact I think the meal is on George and Pam as a thank you for the things we do for them.  It is our pleasure and we would do it anyway.  We are going to Maria's in Kathikas (To Steki tou Panai) because Lou and Malc's daughter Alysia had seen it on Insta.

Anyway I started my cards - I am trying to use up crafting materials that have been sat in the cupboard for ages.  It is a bit disconcerting that John can monitor my stats from his phone because I am wearing his watch.  Periodically I will feel the watch vibrate and then when I look my heart rate will be being checked or my blood pressure.  Talk about Big Brother!

Mid morning we shot off down to Polis because John wanted to see Costas the upholsterer because the part of the roof of the Peugeot which covers the panoramic glass roof needs attention - the rest of the roof has already been done and Costas had hoped that this part would be ok because it is quite a big job and awkward.  It may well be but the price he has quoted is fabulous so he is going to squeeze it in at the weekend before he goes away.  We have to drop it off on Friday after I come back from taking Mum to the hospital.  John likes Costas's little dog who is a bit of a cutey.

We decided to have a sandwich for lunch because Lou and Malc like to eat later than we would normally so our table tonight is booked at 8pm.  We had bought one of the lovely fluffy soft village loaves from the Bakery in Prodromi.  We are on a zero waste policy again, so my sandwich had halloumi, avocado and apple and was absolutely delicious!

This photograph is for George.  Charlie followed us when we went in to Lou and Malc this evening and he is sat on the sofa in protest because his mate George isn't there!!!  We put him out when we set off for Kathikas.  It was chilly this evening so we were all in trousers!!!  We sat in the new upstairs bit of To Steki.  I am not sure whether in the Winter they will revert back to downstairs - I hope they will because it is a bit more cosy.  Anyway we had a lovely evening with good company, good wine (Tsangarides Xinisteri) and good food,  so good choice Alysia!
