Sending hugs to a poorly friend

We were down in Paphos today doing admin and then seeing Mum.  I am trying to unravel the conundrum which is Mum's missing pension.  We no longer have an Alpha Bank branch in Polis so we have to go to Paphos and our new branch there is right where they are doing major roadworks.  Fortunately the girl is very helpful but even she could not shed any light on where the pension payment has gone - it is so frustrating and I just want to get it sorted for Mum but I don't have a magic wand.  I left the bank empty handed and my next course of action was to get back in touch with Aviva and try again from that end.

We called into Superhome Centre on the way to the hairdressers and finally found somewhere that had those colour match strip things and we decided upon a shade of grey to paint the two magnolia walls in the lounge/dining room and bought it then and there before we changed our minds.  We have earmarked the week after next as a week when we will be doing some decorating - we reckon that we may well have stopped burning by then and so that will be the end of all the dust and smut which the fire produces - at least until we start burning again!

We went from Superhome Centre to Universal.  It was really funny to park up and see Mark getting out of his car and then minutes later Nicky pitched up - a Drouseia meeting!!!!  There is a property that they maintain on this complex - we didn't know that!

I got my hair cut - it had suddenly put a right old spurt on in the last week or so, so I was glad to get it back into some sort of shape.  I can report that the shampoo soap bar that Nicky made for me is brilliant and even Lumi commented on what a shine I had to my locks.

I didn't have a huge amount of success at mum's with Aviva but I did get to speak to someone who has taken ownership of the issue and has promised to keep me uptodate with progress or lack of it - I said even if she didn't have anything to tell me it would be nice if she rang to tell me that and to be fair to her she did later in the evening.

This evening I bit the bullet to try and find out how our lovely friend is whose Christmas card arrived after two months in which she told us she was poorly.  I have lain awake morning after morning trying to think of a way of getting news about her without upsetting anyone and today I just thought I would use the power of the tinty-web to make contact with people I knew would be able to help.  I was so happy to get an almost immediate reply from them and then from the person concerned.  I know she reads the blog so my lovely friend, we are sending you love and hugs and positive thoughts.
