We got a table overlooking the sea - it was lovely but there was a stiff off shore breeze hence Mum has all wrapped up in her new cardigan!!! Kaye got the fish she had wanted for lunch, Mum had an omelette and John and I just shared a village salad with some tahini to keep the wolf from the door. I think all in all it had been a successful trip for Kaye and I am so glad that we managed to get Mum's medication altered because it seems to have had a really positive effect thank goodness. Kaye is already considering returning later in the year.
We said our goodbyes and made our way back home because we wanted a quite hour or so before getting ready to go out for Bassam's birthday. We were looking forward to it because it would give us a chance to catch up with Rabia and Lola and we haven't seen Tom and Lucy or Stavraki and Wowee for ages.
We had a lovely evening. Bassam is such a lovely guy and has a wicked sense of humour even if sometimes things get a little lost in translation! We were chuffed to have been invited to the select group which assembled in the Garden and we had good food and a good laugh and even better Amora took the time to ring from Greece where she is at university.
Hard to get a decent photograph of our group - this was about the best I could manage. Philippos, Marios and Constantina did really well in Marina's absence - from what we can gather she is accompanying her mother to hospital in Nicosia - at least that is what we think Philippos said. Anyway Happy Birthday for today Bassam and Happy Birthday for tomorrow Constantina!!!
