My sister arrives...

It really has been a very difficult week and I am feeling exhausted so I was not unhappy that I had not had to go to the airport last night to pick up my sister because she had been very delayed.  I am leaving her and Mum to it today and then they will come up to us tomorrow and we have booked a table at Yiallos for lunch.

The only positive thing to come out of this week was our new car which John loves and which we will call Mrs Kirby because, as we have now found out, the registration NEK are Nicky's initials Nicola Elizabeth Kirby.

I drove it for the first time today when we went down to Polis to do our shopping.  We had our first argument this morning over the car - even though John had said I could drive it and park it wherever I liked and he wouldn't pass comment when he suddenly decided that we should go and get petrol he wasn't happy with me waiting behind another car until it was my turn - oh no no no, he wanted me to go in the out and point in the other direction and then I couldn't see the lever to open the petrol cap - bloody hell aren't men the absolute limit?  Do you know what?  my driving is perfect when we go out and he has had a drink and I haven't and I drive home but today he had to have an opinion on every move I made.  I will stick to Kenny in the future because another dink or scoff wont make a different because Kenny is already battered and bruised.

Today was an important day in John's footballing calendar as The Mighty Blades were in the first round of their playoff semi final match against Notts Forrest.  John had invited John from Arodes to join us - Liselotte is away.  Let's just say it was a typical abject Blades performance and I was glad to be out in the garden where we have an amazing display of blooms in all sorts of colours including the fabulous rose which I bought from Marinos Garden Centre last year.

We had made pizza today which we shared with John before the boys settled for the football.  I was taxi today which I didn't mind because it meant I could do my gardening and take John home and then have a drink if I wanted.

Mum rang to say that she had seen Kaye and taken her for lunch but that the extended traveling last night had taken its toll and Kaye had retired early for some sleep.

Miss Minnie continues to make progress thankfully although she is still very skinny and not herself as she spends the day hiding in my underbed drawer but at least she is still with us.
