私たちは素敵な一日を過ごしています

Oh to be one of our cats - what a life they have.  This is Miss Minnie's second favourite sleeping place, her most favourite is to come on the bed and wedge herself between us with a humph of triumphant satisfaction when she has successfully separated us.  She doesn't stay long as she gets too hot so then moves to her second favourite spot or even her third favourite spot which is in one of the drawers under the bed.  Should one of the others venture on the bed and she is not in number one spot she appears like someone has shoved a rocket up her arse to claim her territory and does so with a humph of smug triumphant satisfaction.  She seems to have recovered from her pancreatitis thankfully and we forget that she is now about 12 years old - she is tiny and often looks quite kitten-ish.  She is vocal and mardy and during the day you cannot touch her but when she is claiming number one spot she demands a cuddle!

We were meeting the crew in Polis for lunch today - Akakiko the Japanese restaurant.  We arrived a little early and went off to take a look at one of the many new bars which have sprung up this Summer.  The one we were interested in was Stou Sotou.  This is an evening venue I would say until there is more shade.  On walking in we met Sotiris who is from the village and who installed our PV system and who is such a nice guy.  He introduced us to the manager who is also called Sotiris and said that we should go and eat there.  The prices looked very reasonable for a tourist area and we shall certainly give it a go at some point.

We had our lunch at Akakiko.  We were glad to have reserved a table inside because it was another very hot day.  Another successful meal and it is a venue where we are all able to find something to eat and as we had eaten lunchtime and not had alcohol it was pretty reasonably priced.  In fact we agreed we probably should have dispensed with the starters as we struggled to finish our main courses which are a lot bigger than you expect them to be.

We went shopping after our lunch, the crew returned to Droushia awaiting a call so that they could come up and have a swim.  Shopping was a bit disastrous as we very nearly left a crate of beer behind and in spinning round to go back and retrieve it forgot to call into ACS where there is a parcel waiting for me!  DUH.

I had some bits and pieces I needed to sort out so left Jackie and Janet in the pool.  It was cooler today as they swam later and the pool is now in full shade from about 3pm maybe earlier.  Tomorrow, according to Mum, is going to be cooler.  The boys are golfing so they won't mind that as they are teeing off in the afternoon.  The girls are going to the spa at the Droushia Heights Hotel.

We had a quiet evening at home and a fairly early night as we have a busy day tomorrow.  Boris was exhausted from being super-cute, Minnie was in her second favourite sleeping spot and Charlie was pimping himself out to all the people in the neighbourhood who love him - he now has another place to visit as he is quite keen on Janet and Derek!
