The new bed has caused a bit of a stir because lovely as it is, and it is, take my word for it, it does not go with the existing decor which was all stripped pine and pinks and greens and creams. Pretty but girlie and probably dated so the new and lovely big grey bed has provoked some serious thought and, although I currently cannot help with this project, a makeover is planned.
First to go is the curtain over the side door to the garden which, to be fair, is no longer required now that door has been insulated. The curtain pole will be removed too as will the pole and curtains over the window which John wants to replace with a blind.
The plan is to scale back and gave cleaner lines and introduce some black/grey accents so the bed blends in a little.
I had a very nice gift today from Lou and Malc. Along with some ibuprofen (so much cheaper in the UK) and some Lick-e-Lix for the kids I had a beautiful bottle of Mermaid Zest Gin. The bottle itself is a work of art so I have great expectations for the contents which I will allow Lou to taste for sure. I may even be kind and wait until their daughter Sophie arrives on Friday. We managed a little walk today. Not so much a walk more a bimble down to the village to take some photographs of a friends house as he is in Australia and has not been able to get over fuel to family illnesses and covid. The house is fine but the garden is understandably something of a wilderness unlike the neatly harvested field next door. The current art/photo challenge is 'in a row' maybe I will enter this shot!
