Today we were off down to Polis to try and get to see Dr Lykoudis before everything grinds to a halt for Les Grandes Vacances. He had told me to go on Tuesday which is a Bank Holiday and the Doctors surgery is closed so he said I could go today. I was all set for a long wait and had sharpened my elbows accordingly. As we approached the surgery there appeared to be loads of vehicles on the forecourt which is never a good sign. I told John to go off and do our shopping and I ventured inside to find one lady sitting waiting. No idea what all the other cars were doing! Dr Lykoudis was there and so I was seen within about 2 minutes of sitting down. I have to embark on a physiotherapy program but this will have to wait until the week after next because the Physio I would chose is himself on his Grandes Vacances. Dr Lykoudis will review my progress thereafter although he seems to be pretty pleased with how things are going.
I was pleased that the Doctor thing had been pretty painless so when we got back home we continued on the bedroom update. John is happy to do a couple of bits each day. It is by no means finished but is coming together and I can see how it is all going to look when complete. I am undecided about painting the top rail of the wooden paneling grey - maybe I will get John to give it a light wash just so it stands out.
We have been looking for some new cushions for the steamers because the existing ones are falling to bits. So far we have found nothing which is the right size and these items have shot up in price so nice sunbed ones can be around 100 euros each!!!! I have tidied up what we have, given the toweling covers a good brush down to remove any evidence that Charlie had been there previously and they will do for one more season.
