Today was the day that Pete was celebrating his 70th birthday (although it is not actually until October). He had chosen 2nd September in the hope that the weather would be good and the evening up here in Droushia, kind.
It was a wonderful event with friends and family coming over from the UK and friends and neighbours from where they used to live in Chlorakas mingling with the great unwashed from Droushia.
A very social evening with food provided by the Barbeque Man - Joshua - which was very nearly sabotaged by the electricity board with an unexpected powercut which was, thankfully, just as everything had been cooked. Nothing spoiled it just gave us something else to talk about.
Hats off to Gail for all her organisation it was a lovely evening.
