Just a nice day

We had a quiet day and actually managed to sit down to watch the England Lionesses play their World Cup semi-final against the host nation Australia.  It was a pretty exciting game and England put in a much stronger performance than in previous games.  The girlies won and will be in the final on Sunday which will be against Spain.  We will be at mum's for lunch so will try and keep away from the result so we can watch it on catch up when we get back.

There is a significant shift with the weather which has resulted in some pretty spectacular cloud formations particularly in the evenings when the humid hot air seems to sit over the low lying and coastal land like a big white blanket.  The mountains poke out at the top - we think it looks a bit like Japan.  This picture was taken from the back verandah at Lakis and Argy's - it is a beautiful view, whatever the weather.

On the subject of Lakis and Argy, they are having a few days away at Lakis's family home in Spilia which will give Lakis and opportunity to catch up with his elder brother.

We had decided to go out together for a Chinese/Thai at the Farmyard in Kathikas which was fortuitous as it was Rachel's birthday so it gave me an opportunity to see her and give her a card.

We recently had a takeaway from the Farmyard with Lakis and Argy and they were well impressed, so much so that they took their family there for a meal and it was a success.

We had a lovely time, great food and great company and although we are early birds and Lakis and Argy are night owls we manage to find a happy medium with an early meal and then back for a nightcap.
