So today JJ&S had a quiet start after their late arrival and I was going to Paphos to get my hair cut and take Mum shopping. The Clan's luggage had got soaked yesterday as they battled their way to the car taking them to the airport, from the airport carpark into the airport and then when the baggage handlers loaded them on the plane and John's Mum had remarked that she had worn filled in shoes but that they had not been waterproof which got me to thinking that I needed something sensible for when I have my whistle-stop visit to the UK for Mikey's wedding. I decided to stop in Chrysanthou Shoes to see if they had something suitable. They seem to have most of their sale stock in the one on the Mesoghi Avenue and if you look closely the prices start at €1.99 and yes I did manage to get a pair for that price!!!! Needless to say we will be taking Janet and Jackie to have a look.On my way to Lumi's for my haircut I was accosted by a super friendly ginger tom (neutered because of the clipped ear) who had to most amazing markings. He wouldn't sit still so the photograph was hastily taken. He just wanted to wrap himself all around my legs and love me to death. I managed to disentangle myself and got a long overdue haircut for which I was very grateful.
I then shot off to take Mum shopping - her sodium levels are low again and as a result she is low too plus she seems to get a bit jealous when John and I are spending time with other people which is a bit unfair. We have penciled into the itinerary lunch on the three Sundays that JJ&S are here plus other visits so that she is included.
Today we did Lidl, Sklavenitis, the Bank, the Vets and Paps all in rather quick time but she at least got done everything she wanted and I arrived back home shattered particularly having got caught up in the rush hour lunch time traffic which meant I queued from Shuks to Viafos traffic lights crawling at a snail's pace which meant John was worried what had happened to me.
We had a lovely message from Laura this afternoon to cheer us up - looks like she will be paying us a brief visit in November - think it is only her and not Mark which is a shame but it will be lovely to see her. I have a feeling she may well be going home on the same flight as Jane and John.
Our evening meal was at Kaponas. We went early as I think we were all a bit tired and had a lovely time. The food was excellent. I have got Elena to do me tomato and onion salad which I love with some local halloumi and chips - tonight I added a sheftalia just to ring the changes. We had some lovely cake afterwards made by her mother which was nice.
