It is really quiet when visitors return home and we suffer from some sort of empty nest syndrome I guess. It is nice to return to 'normality' but it has been such a blast having the 23 here and there is always the thought in the back of our minds that we just might not see them again for whatever reason so we were very concerned to here that on their return Tommy ended up in A&E with chest pains (he has had a heart attack previously) and that Sally's ear issues were more than she could bare. So much for coming home from holiday relaxed and refreshed. Scooby is feeling lonely but shows no sign of imminent deflation.

I went to Mum's to take her shopping as normal and then dropped her off to meet up with Lilian and her friend Cecil so that they could all go to lunch together. John had gone cycling with the CODS so I actually managed a bit of gardening with a view to getting 10b ship shape and Bristol fashion before JJ&S arrive on Wednesday. We are panicking a bit because normally we are well prepared but so far we haven't organised anything. John has dismissed the annual Minthis Hills golf day as prices have gone up and our contact who was the Golf Manager has been replaced by a newbie who is not so amenable.
John decided to give me the evening off and asked all available neighbours to join us at Kaponas. It was lovely. John paid for the drinks as it is his birthday Saturday and that's a bit of a family tradition.
