A full on day...

Our stormy weather was brief although there is more to come scheduled when my sister is here.  If it remains like this she can enjoy a little time out in the fresh air although the temperatures are about 10 degrees lower than when Laura was here.  Still it is better than what Kaye will have been experiencing in the Midlands.

I am worried that Kaye will be cold at night as her bedroom is the one next to the pool and always feels chilly so I put a duvet on her bed.  John looked on longingly but the best he got was the rugs down the side of the bed and a slightly thicker throw.

Changing our bed is a challenge as Mr Boo generally comes in after a hard night on the tiles and has his breakfast and then retires to the bedroom for a good morning's sleep - he has to touch the crocheted blanket which is on the end - it appears to be his security blanket.  He will remain there stoically ignoring the fact that I am stripping off all the bedding around him and then I have to recreate the magician's trick where they whip off a tablecloth whilst leaving all the glasses and crockery in situ!!!

I was relatively success doing this today!!!

We then got ready for an afternoon out down in Paphos for some early and probably only Christmas Shopping for John and I as we are not exchanging gifts ourselves - there is nothing we really need plus John had his new bins last week and they were over 300 euros!!!

It was a nice run down to the Mall and into the afternoon winter sunshine...

It was so lovely that we actually grabbed a coffee and sat outside Costa to drink it in the warm.  We had done a bit of shopping and had some things that we planned to drop off at Mums before - get this - meeting Mark and Nicky and Jan and Derek for a meal out at Poppadoms!!!!  Woooo Hoooo that is proper out, out!!!

We haven't eaten at Poppadoms for years - not for any real reason other than it is difficult to get John to travel too far for a meal - he likes to be at home or eat local.  Anyway this was organised by Mark and Nicky because they really like the curries here.  They were picking up Jan and Derek and we were meeting them.  Jan and Derek go home later this week and so this was the last chance we would get to go somewhere with them as a bit of a celebration.

I have to say our food was lovely.  I had chosen a Chicken Pathiya and it was so tasty and John had some curry we had never heard of which sounded like Labrador but obviously wasn't and he said that was nice too.

I drove - that's not an issue for me really save for the fact that sometimes I can struggle to find a non-alcoholic drink that I like particularly in the winter when a lime and soda is just that bit too long and too cold.

It was an easy and quiet drive home but boy did it feel cold when we got there.  Overnight temperatures are set to be in single figures which is cold in anyone's book!!
