Cosy and Well Fed!

It would appear that the minor changes I made to our bed last night were just that, minor, and John declared that he was moving into the bedroom next door because I have put a duvet on that bed in readiness for Kaye's visit.  I felt sorry for him so I put a thicker throw on the bed and a snuggly fleecy topper on the mattress and hope that will be enough this time!

I went off with Sonia to the sitting Yoga session in Neo Chorio - I had to miss last weeks because Laura was with us on her whirlwind visit so this was only my second lesson.  The first time I suffered because my broom stick was too short (hard to believe I know) but I had bought a new one so that was ok this week but I had a different problem in that my resistance band was too short it needed to be twice the length and so I looked rather weird trying to do the arm stretches as I could only expand the band as far as my shoulders.  Sonia had issues because like me her legs are short so once sat down our feet swing above the floor so she was having trouble pinning her band down - I commented that I had visions of her losing control of the band and it whacking me in the face at which point one of the ladies did exactly that but hit herself in the face!

I was a bit late getting to Kaponas - the girlies were already there - this time we were joined by Gail's mum Yvonne who is delightful and used to live in Chlorakas with her husband Gail's Dad who did not travel over this time.  Ellen announced that she was going to pay for us all today as this was the final part of her lengthy 80th birthday celebrations and she said that she felt so very blessed to have such a lovely bunch of friends.

We had a nice lunch - although the moussaka could have done with being hotter and apparently this time the lamb chops were not as tender as they have been in the past but it was nice to get together before Janet returns to the UK.  John, Derek, Mark and Rich had gone to Fitos - in fact John, Derek and Richard walked there and back for some exercise.

It actually felt chilly this evening - enough for us to light the gas fire for the first time.  I love to see the flames it feels so much more cosy.   Having said that John was still in his shorts!!!  Charlie was very appreciative of the fire and put himself in prime position.  Only trouble is he has been sick several times this week so lying in front of the fire probably wont do him a lot of good.

Update - John found evidence that Charlie had been eating a bird so that wont have done him any good.
